After his studies in veterinary medicine at the University of Ghent, Peter worked for two years at the Department of Anatomy and Histology under Professor Paul Simons, where he supervised laboratory practices and conducted research into the blood circulation in the periphery and the pododermis in horses. This provided new insights.

After this period, he started his own practice in Bruges and continued his studies. During a conference, he discovered that his research results were little known, which led to the development of molecules to restore vasoconstriction. Together with industrial pharmacists, he created nutritional preparations aimed at top-level sports riders.

His efforts led to the establishment of Alsvid Pharma for the commercialization of Trombofeet and future supplements.
